Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering - Onsite

Pay Rate: $65.81/hr.

Job Description: The Senior Project Engineer independently leads engineering implementation activities for strategic capital and manufacturing projects from planning through qualification and release. The role coordinates technical integration across equipment, automation, manufacturing, quality, and facilities while ensuring solutions are successfully implemented into production.

Key responsibilities include engineering execution, manufacturing integration, change control and documentation, qualification/release readiness and technical problem solving. The Senior Project Engineer partners closely with Project Managers, Equipment SMEs, Programmers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, reliable, and scalable manufacturing solutions.

The SR Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production release. Working closely with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and external equipment suppliers, this role ensures projects are delivered on schedule while meeting safety, quality, and operational objectives.

Support Project Managers in the execution of capital projects by coordinating project activities, tracking action items, and communicating with cross-functional teams. Attend project meetings, assist with equipment installations, FAT/SAT and validation activities, work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues, and maintain project documentation. The role will involve spending time both in the office and on the manufacturing floor while learning the project lifecycle and progressively taking ownership of project tasks.

This position serves as the technical validation lead for project execution, working with equipment SME on design reviews, vendor management, installation, commissioning, qualification, and issue resolution across multiple manufacturing projects.

MUST HAVES:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical, or related field)

* Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn project management, manufacturing processes, and capital equipment implementation.

NICE TO HAVES:

* Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based work.

* Experience working in a team environment through school projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.

* Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics.

* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.

* Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools.

Medical Device experience HIGHLY preferred

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

* 2-4 years of engineering experience (internships and co-op experience considered).

* PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certifications are a plus but not required.
